Under the Hood: Performance, Lazy Loading, and What's Next

In the past few days, we've dedicated significant effort to fine-tuning the core experience of RSSer. One of the most important improvements is the implementation of 'lazy loading' (or 'infinite scrolling'). Instead of waiting for you to hit the bottom of the page, we now discreetly load new articles in the background as you approach the end of the list. This ensures a seamless, fluid scrolling experience with no noticeable interruptions.

This optimization is more than just a technical gimmick; it's part of our philosophy to provide you with the smoothest and most focused reading experience possible. We have also fixed some stubborn bugs that caused a jarring 'jumping' of articles while scrolling. The result is a more stable, faster, and more pleasant interface.

The development of RSSer is heavily community-driven. To foster this exchange, we will soon be setting up an official Discord server. This will be a direct line to us, where you can make feature requests, report bugs, and connect with other users. We believe the best ideas come from dialogue with you.

And what does the future hold? Podcast integration remains a high priority. It's a big undertaking, but we are confident we can introduce this feature in the course of 2025, barring any major hurdles. RSSer is constantly evolving, driven by our vision of an open web and your valuable feedback. Stay tuned!
